Telma Mechane is the Filed Coordinator at WIHD. In this capacity, Telma facilitates dialogue, and nurture collaboration with local stakeholders to build trust and long lasting relationships, which enhances WIHD's impact and relevance at the grassroots level. She organizes community meetings, forums, and outreach events to provide platforms for open dialogue and meaningful engagement and by encouraging active participation she ensures that community voices are heard, respected, and integrated into WIHD's programs.
Telma also leads efforts to raise awareness about WIHD's programs within the community. she tailors outreach strategies to resonate with diverse individuals which effectively conveys WIHD's commitment to community development and empowerment.
In addition to building relationships, she also mobilizes community resources and teams to support and harnesses the collective strengths and talents of community members, by empowering them to take ownership of local development initiatives and become active participants in driving positive change, and plays a crucial role in collecting feedback to evaluate WIHD's programs' effectiveness from community members' perspectives as well as soliciting input, conducting assessments, and monitoring outcomes, to ensure that WIHD remains responsive to local needs and is accountable to the communities it serves.
